Service, Outreach and Social Justice

The Compass

The Compass Drop–in Center, located in a storefront on the western edge of Port Credit, offers both practical and spiritual week–day support to those in our community who are experiencing economic and social challenges.

For the first time in the history of this community, Christian Churches have joined together to fight poverty going beyond their denominational borders and borders of age and social status. First United members volunteer and provide food bank support for this important community programme.

Habitat For Humanity

A number of our members participated in the "Circle of Faith" community build in Burlington in the summer of 2007. It was an opportunity to put our faith into action, working to provide decent affordable housing. See details at Habitat for Humanity Halton.
